2x400W @8 ohm power apm

My interes to electronics rises from the need of decent, powerful and relatively cheap apm. There just isn't one on the market. Only option is to build your own. When I finished my subwoofer-project I needed stereo amp to drive them. My poor old NAD just can't handle really loud bass from movies. So here goes: Once again Hifi-lehti was the saving angel. There had been an article about 50W MOSFET power apm and guidelines how to get 400W out of it using two channels in bridged mode. Fortunately all this info is now available as a book Tee Itse Hifilaitteita.

Once again here is the cost of this little piece of equipment:

transformer 800 mk
ready-made circuit boards	350 mk
filter capacitors 472 mk
MOSFETs 776 mk
other electrical parts 807 mk
heat sinks 400 mk
chassis 0 mk :)
tools 200 mk
misc 300 mk

grand total 4105 mk
