Bought the bike Feb 11 from J. M.
then proceeded to take it apart
-one piston was broken so I installed a new one, the other is just ok
-cleaned the powervalves
-new lower gaskets to cylinders
-checked the carburettors, main jets are 2 sizes bigger than stock (290/300)
-new gaskets to exhaust, underseat exhaust modified back to right side (it was burning the electric boxes)
-got the bike running on 1st May, oh boy it really revs like hell!
neste atf oil in gear box for 3 track days, changed to neste 80w-90 gearoil
on second track day fell down, damage to paint on right side, brake lever broke and rearset damaged. fitted gixxer lever, self made rearset and on it goes...
50/50 neste atf/shell advance ultra 15w-50 to gearbox
had a seizure in lower cylinder, it was the new piston that got busted, and cylinder coating was damaged. Fuck.
new piston etc. cylinder repaired at Lancourt throug Harpmotor's service. 310 main jet, hopefully this is rich enough. tried to find air leaks with start pilot. thumps up!
FUCK! Now the other piston broke, didn't seize thought and no visible damage to cylinder. New pistons installed, new gaskets (head & bottom) and checked the crank - it was within specs. Season ended before I managed to get it back on the track. 2007, what to do, get a real track going 2-stroke (125 or 250) or maybe howabout Ducati 4-stroker machine to compete in Ducati-Cup...
